Treatment details
Since rheumatic diseases involve autoimmunity, most of them are controlled with immunomodulatory or immunosuppressant drugs. In the case of rheumatoid arthritis, the aim is to improve joint swelling and pain.
Most medications are taken orally, but some are self-injected (subcutaneously).
Our staff will provide guidance so that you do not feel anxious if you inject yourself.
For those with severe joint pain, we can also perform hyaluronic acid injections and procedures to drain joint fluid.
